a whole range of activities in the beautiful surroundings of St
Ives' Carbis Bay, Cornwall. St Ives, an old fishing village with narrow cobbled streets and granite cottages, boasts charm and culture with esoteric shops and art galleries. Culinary delights range from fabulous fish and chips on the sea front to fine dining at one of the many restaurants. There are even a couple of trendy bars. Visit the latest exhibitions at Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum Take a boat trip out to seal island or further afield with Elemental Boat Tours. Looking for something more active? You can learn to surf or dive. Surfboards can also be rented on the beach at Porthmeor, from Sunset Surf at Gwithian or from Sandsifter at Godrevy. Birdwatching? The nearby Hayle Estuary is an RSPB reserve.
